March 5th, 2007: Protest against plaigarism by Yahoo! India

Yahoo! India plagiarised contents from couple of malayalam blogs when Yahoo! launched their Malayalam portal. The giant corporation hasn't yet owned up to apologize to the bloggers. When accused, they silently removed the contents. We need an apology! When asked for apology, Yahoo! India is now accusing WebDunia as their content provider. The contents appeared on Yahoo! domain and not on Webdunia's Domain. Hence, we hold Yahoo responsible. I am protesting against this and joining hundreds of bloggers in this march against blatant corporate plagiarisation. Tommorow I can appoint a thirdparty content provider and he can steal all the content from all over the web, for me! May be even I can ask my content provider to steal from Yahoo! iteslf. Yahoo! cannot wash its hand that simply! We need an apology on this matter from Yahoo! !

യാഹൂ ഇന്ത്യയുടെ മലയാളം പോര്ട്ടലില്, മലയാളം ബ്ലോഗുകളില് നിന്ന് കുറിപ്പുകള് മോഷ്ടിച്ച് ഇട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. പരാതിപ്പെട്ടവരുടെ കുറിപ്പുകള് നീക്കം ചെയ്യുക എന്നല്ലാതെ, ഉത്തരവാദിത്തം ഏറ്റെടുത്ത്, ഒരു ഖേദപ്രകടനം നടത്താന്, ഇത്രയും നാളായിട്ട് അവര് തയ്യാറായിട്ടില്ല. തെറ്റ് നടന്നു എന്ന് വ്യക്തമായ സ്ഥിതിയ്ക്ക്, ബൂലോഗ കൂട്ടായ്മയോട് അവര് മാപ്പ് പറയേണ്ടത് ആവശ്യമാണ്. മാപ്പ് പറയാന് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടപ്പോള്, യാഹൂക്കാര്, അവര്ക്ക് കുറിപ്പുകളൊക്കെ സംഭാവന നല്കിയത് വെബ് ദുനിയ എന്ന കമ്പനിയാണെന്ന് പറഞ്ഞ്, ഉത്തരവാദിത്തത്തില് നിന്ന് ഒഴിയാന് ശ്രമിക്കുകയാണ്. മോഷ്ടിക്കപ്പെട്ട കുറിപ്പുകള് വന്നിരിക്കുന്നത്, യാഹൂവിന്റെ വെബ് സൈറ്റില് ആണ്. വെബ് ദുനിയയുടെ സൈറ്റില് അല്ല. അതുകൊണ്ട് യാഹൂ മാത്രമാണ്, അതിന്റെ ഉത്തരവാദികള് എന്ന് ബൂലോഗം ഉറച്ച് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു. യാഹൂ എന്ന വന്കിട കുത്തക സാമ്രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ ചോരണമാരണത്തിന് എതിരായി, ബൂലോഗകൂട്ടായ്മയിലെ ഒരു അംഗം എന്ന നിലയ്ക്ക്, ഈ പ്രതിഷേധത്തില് ഞാനും പങ്കുചേരുന്നു. യാഹൂ മാപ്പ് പറയുക.
